Date: 2001-05-20 This was taken on a trail in Quebec (as was dsc00218, the Trillium). These little fish (tadpoles?) live a dense life with their fellows. When you throw them food, they literally stir up the water as they scramble overtop of each other to get the food. There are probably around a hundred of them in this photo, even though you can't see some.

Date: 2005-02-23 Another trail in the Gatineau area of Quebec. On another walk that Manon organized, we thought about going back to Lareault but it was full (no more cars were being allowed) so we chose a new trail. It looked to be more used (had dirt roads, even) but it was a nice trail nonetheless.
